With all the speculation flying around these days about JT's future, i find it incredibly disheartening to not hear any comments about this subject directly from him. It would appear as far as the upper management and board is concerned, that Terry will be staying. They all have declared he is staying and in NOT for sale.
All i am concerned about personally, is that we do not lose any of our stars, and especially this one. I believe that if Terry can stay and play out the remainder of his career in London at the Bridge, we will have housed one of the all time greats who have ever played the game. His leadership is completely unparalled in the game today. His loyalty has never, nor should it be questioned, regardless of the outcome of yet another messy summer of transfer rumors. I, along with the millions of other Blues faithful, will be sad to see him go if he so chooses, but I think we all believe in him and want to see him finish what he started and finish it where he started it!
Long Live King Terry (no matter what happens) and long live Stamford Bridge!

Yeah I've been following all this media sensationalism for a while now. I really hope he stays, with Riccy looking like he could be out of London within the next year, that leaves us with Alex, Branislav, and Mancienne. Not to say that these three aren't top players, but they lack the certain leadership qualities.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, does any one remember a few months when Alex tried to put in a transfer, but now we all (myself included) praise him.
On a side, side note, I'm leaving for Baltimore on Friday morning, I'll try to write a match report on saturday.
-Gators.
For the first time I'm starting to think that Terry is really considering a move to Manchester City. I too am a bit disappointed that everybody BUT him has commented on this saga. The thought of this move certainly can't be fueled by the desire for a new challenge, seeing as he still has no CL title under his belt and this would be extremely hard for Manchester City to accomplish next season as they aren't in the CL! If it's about the money, just say so!
ReplyDeleteRegardless, I think John Terry is a hell of a player, man and role model and wish him success wherever this path takes him. I really wish to see him finish his career out at Chelsea though, and even if we don't make a single signing throughout the rest of this transfer season, I'll consider it a huge win if we can manage to keep Mr. Chelsea himself, John Terry. Cheers

ReplyDeleteLike most of Blue faithful I really don't want to think of starting this season without Terry. Like Gators said he's got leadership qualities unparalleled by any team captain in the EPL. His type of leadership was last seen in Dennis Wise, the likes of Viera and Keane are the only one that come to mind that fit that criteria. Like most of you I too want him to come out and say "Live Blue, Die Blue" As much as I will respect his choice if he decides to leave it will break my heart. So Terry come out and lets end this.
ReplyDeletesee you all in Baltimore tommorow, eric!
